Where Do I Take The Exam?

As of 17 Dec, 2024 one must register with PSI to take the CSL test. Massachusetts no longer uses Prometrics.

The unrestricted construction supervisor exam has 75 questions and a time limit of 3 hours. The restricted construction supervisor exam has 75 questions and a time limit of 3 hours. A 70% is required to pass. The questions are based on the current reference books in use including the 2021 editions of the International Building Code and International Residential Code along with the 10th edition of the Massachusetts amendments.

You must document 3 years of experience when submitting your application to take the exam. Topics on the exam include code administration, sitework, concrete masonry, thermal and moisture protection, finishes, metals, and doors and windows.
